Planting and care

Rose Planting Instruction

Planting in the garden
Dig a hole twice as deep and twice as wide as the rose pot.
Amend your soil: Mix ½ bag of good garden compost and about ½ cup of Antique Rose Farm fertilizer in with the soil of the hole. Water the hole making sure everything is wetted thoroughly.
Remove rose from the pot, attempt to keep soil and roots intact, and place in hole.
Refill with dirt around the rose plant, making sure if grafted to bury graft at least 2 inches.
Tamp dirt and sprinkle with one cup of lime and ½ cup of Antique Rose Farm fertilizer around the drip line.
Water in well! Keep watered until established (3-4 weeks)
Planting in a pot
Pot needs to be at least 20 inches deep and 20 inches in diameter – for best results a half whiskey barrel size is ideal
